Megan and Andrew

We are so excited to share Megan and Andrew’s wedding day.  Though we have not known these two for very long we feel like old friends.  I think it is not uncommon for photographers to feel a special bond with their wedding clients but sometimes things just click too and it can happen immediately.

I have always wanted to photograph a courthouse ceremony.  I know that probably sounds weird but when Megan first contacted us and she said they were getting married at the Albany County Courthouse, we were IN!!  There were a few too many people for chambers so Justice Michael Lynch and his assistant Karen lined up use of a beautiful courtroom.  They even tidied it up beforehand, a testament to how awesome they are…. Because they are.

The weather was not super cooperative on this day.  It was crazy humid, there were tornado warnings (which somehow, despite the constant use of weather apps, we managed to keep from Megan), torrential downpours, some wind, and limited use of umbrellas, but nobody cared.  Well, maybe some people cared, but it didn’t matter because everyone else was taking it in stride.  We managed to get some fun portraits in between the rain and there were just enough breaks otherwise to get people out from under cover for the toasts.   It was easy to maintain a relaxed and happy vibe, with lush garden are at the Olde English Pub as the amazing backdrop, despite the challenging weather.

Such a great group of family and friends surrounding Megan and Andrew celebrating their love for each other, love of beer, good food, and doughnuts, left us on a high, and not just from the sugar either.  Megan and Andrew, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and countless food and fine beverage explorations.
